So it’s been a half a year since this newest design of PropadataFilms.com has been released. To celebrate (or maybe more to play catch-up) I’ve been busy encoding old releases and getting them up and available here on the site. The big project has been to re-release the performance and interview portions of Thursday Plantation episodes...It’s been exciting to watch the interviews again along with all the really on point performances, and hopefully those of you who never got a chance to see the series will have some fun laxing out and watching.
I’ve got quite a few Attempted Unknown episodes to play catch up with as well. Subscribers out there, you know Tim and I have been on quite the extended hiatus from producing newer episodes...But! We are not done with the Attempted Unknown series and have some cool ideas for new episodes to produce soon. Stay subscribed and loyal you awesome fans - Episode 24 through ??? coming soon(ish).
As for other projects - this August I will be the Director of Photography on the feature film “Punch.” The grindhouse style film is written and directed by Jay Cynik, who I’ve worked with before and am very excited to be working for on this film. We’ll be shooting in the hot heat of Eastern Washington over 17 days, all at night. If you know the bulk of Propadata’s work, you know that it’s very documentary based, so I’m very much looking forward to an opportunity to show my guns as a narrative shooter. More updates on ”Punch” coming soon....
At the end of August I’ll be jumping into another broadcast television production for Current TV. This time around the story I’m going after is the female video gaming team The Frag Dolls as they roll into Seattle for the Penny Arcade Expo. It should be a fun piece to shoot, and hopefully one of many tech/game related pieces you’ll see come out of the Propadata labs this year...because I love video games and nerd tech. That’s what’s up.
There’s one more really rad project in the works but I’m going to save the details for a later date....but you should start getting excited now if you like things like THIS
Finally, in the fun stuff department - Propadata now has a channel on Vimeo. Check it out and become a friend...subscribe to the channel. It’s pretty rockin.
Okay - so that’s all on the more entertainment side of things...for the commercial world (I know you potential clients read blogs too) I am currently setting Propadata’s sights nice and high to form new relationships with companies that have large scale and or long term needs involving video. I believe Propadata Films has a style and production value that not only stands out from the pack but is ready to be employed on large projects - Need footage from seven countries, stunning motion graphics, and engaging storytelling to come together for a banquet screening to a thousand?
